Establishment and History
Founded in 1989 in Izmir under the name “Grafit Sanayi Ltd. Şti,” our company has grown by combining decades of experience and expertise in graphite production with technological advancements. In 2006, we expanded our production portfolio by entering the emery (abrasive stone) market, and later, we ventured into bauxite production to serve various industrial sectors. In 2014, by transitioning to a joint-stock company, we strengthened our corporate structure and began to implement modern production techniques more effectively.

Production and Technology
The ore extracted from our emery mine located within the borders of Muğla is meticulously crushed, milled, and sorted in our own facility according to internationally recognized standards (FEPA) for grain size. Our produced emery powder is consistently shipped to markets in Asia, Europe, and the Far East, meeting the high expectations of our customers. Past exclusive agreements with Van Mannekus & Co. VB and Timab have solidified our position as a key supplier in the industry. Today, we are further enhancing our global presence by marketing our products under our own brand.

Our Mines and Production Capacity
Grafit Madencilik A.Ş. operates three primary emery mines in the Muğla region:

• Eyli Tepe Mine: One of our oldest mines, reflecting decades of accumulated expertise.
• Deştin Mine: Actively used for daily production, ensuring consistent and uninterrupted output.
• Körteke Mine: Reserved for future production plans, maintained in readiness for deployment.

Kurdu Mine and Chemical Analysis Values
At our Kurdu mine in Muğla Yılanlı, the typical chemical composition of the produced bauxite is as follows:

• Al₂O₃: 49% – 57%
• SiO₂: 5% – 8%
• TiO₂: 2% – 4%
• Fe₂O₃: 18% – 22%

With an approximate monthly production capacity of 10,000 tons, this mine produces bauxite in various sizes (0–10 mm, 10–30 mm, 30–50 mm, 50–150 mm) to meet the needs of the cement, refractory, iron & steel, and aluminum industries. Additionally, we are capable of supplying bauxite in other sizes or in bulk (tüvenan) as per customer requirements.
